Herd Sires & Dams
We have a variety of options including fullblood registered New Zealand Kiko goats as well as registered and non registered percentages. If you are interested in our standards please refer to here... we feel our standards make us special and want you to know!
Below we will discuss some of our herd sires and dams here at Red Brush. Our goats are raised to top specification with minimally needed intervention to promote a healthy stock. First we will show you our excellent herd sires, then the herd dams below.
Herd Sire - Gitter Dunn
Blood: 100% New Zealand Fullblood Kiko
Registration: AKGA & IKGA
Pedigree: Lightin's Thor P87 A.K.A "Gitter Dunn". He is the grandson of the famous "Goatex Generator" and the son of Mountain Meat Goats' Lightin whose genetics are the top tested in the nation for performance.
Gitter Dunn has met with a very unfortunate accident. Gitter was becoming impatient with being confined with only other males and began challenging gates more frequently. We rotated him and the others into a temporary rotational pasture with a portable fence. He challenged the fence while we were away and became entangled. Upon return home, we found him dead. A lesson hard learned for us. We are currently evaluating replacements from his progeny and will post our decision shortly. We will miss Gitter Dunn, he was quite a character!

Herd Sire - Diesel
Blood: Fullblood Boer
Registration: ABGA
Pedigree: Bloodlines include: CNR Pistolero, Oscar and Brutus.
We have gone "off farm" for our next Boer sire! Sir Winston, our previously advertised herd sire, developed hoof problems, just as his father, Jabulani, our previous herd sire. While he was very promising, we never bred him to any of our does. We are very excited about Diesel. He was purchased from Ted and Becky Maupin of Mountain View Farm. He's stocky in the chest and well-muscled in the hips. We will be watching him closely. We hope he will add bulk and width to our kid BOKI crop.

Herd Dam - General
All of our Dams here at Red Brush have good mothering instincts and produce healthy "heavy bodied" kids that thrive on natural browse. The dams all meet our high standards and you can trust in us to supply the heathiest product to you. Remember... we refuse to sell any goat for breeding stock that does not meet our high standards, guaranteed. Including bloodlines from Tasman Zorro and the Goatex Generator we have producing does that are New Zealand Fullblood Kikos and Kiko/Boer percentages, available with and without papers at your discretion.
